As a Sr. Software Development Engineer, you should have strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven, and have a demonstrated track record of delivering high quality results, in a highly ambiguous, green-field environment. You should be a passionate, results-oriented, experienced software developer. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a relentless focus on the customer experience and want to build something new rather than maintaining code written by someone else, then this role is for you. Key job responsibilities
- As a Sr. Software Development Engineer, you will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including research new use cases, address existing defects, clarify requirements, design, develop, document, test, and manage software and systems.
- For this role you will collaborate with People with Disabilities (PWD) to understand pain points, synthesize requirements and create accessible solutions.
- You will apply your knowledge and experience of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) technologies available within Amazon and the industry at large to innovate.
- You will research problem spaces and develop solutions that require Spatial Computing (AR/VR).
- You will develop 3D rendered solutions for all Amazonians.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams
- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications
