To support this launch, the EMEA Accounting team in Cork is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst, to support local statutory compliance and US GAAP reporting.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for month end close activities including reviews, balance sheet reconciliations and analytics
• Business partnering with other Amazon teams, including Finance, Treasury, Tax, Public Relations, Transfer Pricing and Corporate Legal
• Collaborating with global Accounting teams to identify opportunities for enhanced standardization
• Preparation of high quality financial statements across a range of accounting frameworks;
• Preparation of statutory trial balances including identification and posting of local GAAP adjustments;
• Supporting external audit process;
• Demonstrating strong technical accounting acumen to be able to conclude on accounting treatment for complex business related transactions;
• Being a strong team player, who can operate globally, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, taking ownership and demonstrating self-initiative.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and / or a multinational organization
• Certified accountant qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
• Knowledge of IFRS or other accounting frameworks;
• Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience managing multiple projects with competing schedules
