In this rapidly growing fast paced environment, we are looking for a motivated, organized self-starters with an entrepreneur spirit, to join our team as an In-Stock Manager, at our Carrollton, TX location.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role within the supply chain. We are looking for a passionate leader with proven experience complex modeling, tool automation, and collaborating with stakeholders. In this role, you will define and implement our in-stock strategy across apparel, hardline, and consumable products. The right candidate is detail-oriented, has experience implementing automation tools, and builds strong relationships.

Key job responsibilities

  • Inventory Operational Ownership –

  • Owns purchasing, purchasing metrics, which includes on-time ordering, truck schedule attainment, site fullness, vendor consumption vs plan, invoice holds, and out of stock reason codes for up to 4 sites.

  • Owns driving improvement in inventory health, purchasing efficiency, and costs reduction.

  • Acts as a liaison, resolving any issues that may arise with site-level supply.

  • Builds systemic and process-related requirements for 3P storage, inventory transfers, and our catalog.

  • May be requested to build purchase order plans and truck schedules, referencing vendor forecast and warehouse closures.

  • May be requested to define and execute our peak in-stock strategy across sourcing, operational and purchasing stakeholders.

  • Site-Level Risk Tracking –

  • Owns site-level risk-tracking, with bridges including domestic expedites and site transfers.

  • Conducts weekly reviews with stakeholders, communicating in-stock risk where applicable.

  • Maintains SKU-level de-activations, reactivations, and inventory thresholds based on site-level inventory availability and sales.

  • Owns the management of aged inventory for sites, seeking necessary approvals.

  • Tool Creation and Management –

  • Identifies opportunities to work with internal technical teams to drive process changes

  • Creates applicable Assistant Buyer SOPs, across all purchase and risk tracking tools.

  • References key performance dashboards, noting risk to target metrics and in-stock.

  • As requested, creates purchasing tools, risk track reports and automation proposals.

  • May contribute to forecasting and planning tasks.

  • May maintain purchase automation tools, across apparel, hardline, and consumable products. Creates new tools, as requested.

  • New Product Strategies (as requested) –

  • Creates domestic new product purchase plans, ensuring products arrive at Merch sites as expected.

  • In collaboration with sourcing, executes product deprecation strategies.

  • May be requested to collaborate with stakeholders, on product types to print at each warehouse based on capacity and speed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 1+ years of professional or military experience
  • 1+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
  • 1+ years of with Excel experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the principles of statistical inventory control
  • Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
