This is a PCB Design Engineer position who will be a part of our global hardware engineering design team, playing a critical role in ensuring the highest product quality standards and driving continuous improvement for Ring and Blink products.

• Key job responsibilities
• Responsible for the PCB Design layout for new or existing products
• Develop detailed and optimized layouts for multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCB)
• Build the footprint for component following the Amazon design rule.
• Ensure the designs accounts for power, signal, and ground requirements.
• Work with other electrical and mechanical engineers, translate schematic designs into layout implementation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure layouts are optimized for the production.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including PCB layer stacks, trace widths report, and other relevant design rules.
• Work with Cadence tools: OrCAD, Allegro.
• Work with Altium 365 tool.

Basic Qualifications

• • BS in EE or equivalent experience. * 8+ years of experience generating schematics using common electrical CAD programs, preferably OrCAD, Allegro, Altium. * 8+ years of experience designing PCBs, executing part placement, routing traces, understanding electrical issues as related to PCBs and RF design. * 8+ years of experience creating the component library (schematic symbol, footprint) and library management. * Understanding of mechanical issues as they apply to PCB design, enclosure design, mounting, etc. * Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RF design preferred. * Strong experience with Altium Designer and Altium 365 tools. * Experience with camera, IoT, smart home or lighting products.
