Amazon Marketplace and Global Selling have been key engines of Amazon’s growth over the past several years. We are seeking a senior, strategic, and entrepreneurial marketing leader to own and scale marketing growth for Japan. This role is designed for a builder—someone with a strong ownership mindset and the ambition to build and shape a New Brand from the ground up in Amazon Japan.
The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of the Japan marketing landscape, strong consumer and cultural insights, and demonstrated experience leveraging multi-channel marketing to drive brand awareness, traffic, and customer acquisition. This role requires both strategic thinking and strong execution capability, with the ability to operate independently, move fast, and deliver measurable impact.
The Senior Marketing Manager will define and execute the end-to-end marketing strategy for the OOC business in Japan, with a primary focus on brand building, traffic generation, and customer growth. This role will own customer segmentation and profiling, campaign planning and execution, and ongoing optimization across paid, owned, and earned channels.
In addition, this role will establish robust measurement and performance management mechanisms, including marketing channel performance reviews, experimentation, and ROI analysis, and will continuously translate market and customer insights into data-driven recommendations and actions.
The Senior Marketing Manager will work closely with Central Marketing, Finance, and Global Brand teams to ensure a consistent brand proposition and aligned customer communication, secure marketing investment through annual planning, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing initiatives effectively support overall OPS and GMS growth in Japan

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • 5+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
