The Business Analyst provides critical technical support for accounting systems and processes, ensuring seamless operations across inventory management, and financial systems. This role combines accounting expertise with technical proficiency to maintain system integrity, support migrations, and troubleshoot complex accounting system issues.

Key job responsibilities

  • Inventory Management

  • Inventory Controllership

  • Maintain ownership and oversight of inventory accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Inventory Reconciliation

  • Troubleshoot reconciliations differences between warehouse management systems and accounting records to identify and resolve discrepancies

  • SOD Compilation/Review

  • Compile and review Segregation of Duties documentation to ensure proper internal controls and compliance

  • Accounting Systems Support

Great Plains Support:

  • Manage user account access and permissions

    • Perform system maintenance including checklinks and year-end rollforward procedures
    • Troubleshoot system issues such as PO approval workflows and transaction processing errors
  • Laserfiche Support (Document Management System) - Execute monthly system updates and maintenance, diagnose and resolve document management system issues and update workflows to support operations

  • Vantage Point EDI - Support Electronic Data Interchange processes. Investigate and resolve electronic invoice processing failures

  • Share Point Site Maintenance

  • Maintain and update Share Point sites for accounting team collaboration

  • System Migration & Integration

  • AFT Migration

  • Support the Amazon Fulfillment Technology migration, including data flow design, testing, and accounting integration. Support the transition away from legacy systems and ensure continuity of accounting processes

  • SAP Migration Support

  • Assist with SAP implementation and integration activities

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience with SQL
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining accounting software systems, particularly Great Plains and/or SAP.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with system migrations and implementations
  • Knowledge of inventory accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with EDI processes and document management systems
  • Understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
