Job Description:

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges and driving technology transformation. In this role, you will take ownership of modernizing mission-critical legacy .NET applications by upgrading them to .NET 8, containerizing workloads, and leveraging modern frameworks like Blazor and Angular. This is not just a migration role, it is an opportunity to shape the future architecture of our enterprise applications, build modernization frameworks, and influence how our engineering teams adopt cloud-native and cross-platform strategies going forward.
You'll work closely with architects, DevOps engineers, and product owners, while being trusted to make key technical decisions that ensure our systems are performant, scalable, and future ready.

• Key Responsibilities

• Lead the upgrade of legacy .NET Framework applications (Windows Services, Console Apps, Web Forms) to .NET 8.

• Modernize user interfaces using Blazor and Angular, moving away from older Web Forms.

• Refactor and optimize existing codebases for maintainability and scalability.

• Collaborate with DevOps to implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment strategies (Azure/AWS/GCP).

• Ensure seamless database integration with ADO.NET and micro-ORMs like Dapper.

• Act as a technical mentor to junior developers during modernization projects.

• Drive architectural discussions on microservices, API-first design, and modern security practices.

• Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional .NET development experience.

• Strong expertise in .NET Framework (4.x) and .NET 8.

• Hands-on experience with Windows Services, Console Apps, and Web Forms.

• Proven experience with Blazor (Server/Web Assembly) and Angular (2+).

• Proficiency in ADO.NET and micro-ORMs like Dapper.

• Strong background in application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with SQL Server (or equivalent relational databases).

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Nice to Have

• Exposure to MAUI (.NET Multi-platform App UI) for cross-platform app modernization.

• Knowledge of modern authentication frameworks (OAuth2, OpenID Connect).

• Prior experience leading large-scale modernization/transformation projects.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
