A vacancy for a Materials and Processes Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Seville.

The successful applicant will join Engineering Department.

• Description of the job:

We are looking for a Sciencies Degree or Engineer with experience in Materials and Processes Projects and Quality, focused on Industrial Processes Qualifications, testing of materials and management and integration of technical projects.

The position requires a good balance between a technical expertise in the M&P Projects and Quality, manufacturing processes, Special Processes, materials testing in general and managerial skills.

The successful applicant will join Materials & Process Department (M&P Integration) as part of the Engineering organization.

• Main Activities

Ensure materials, transformation processes (focused in special processes) and industrial capabilities meet Quality and Enginering/Design requirements. High level in M&P technical knowledge oriented to Quality and Industrial sustainability.

Manage M&P Industrial Projects, including costing and workload planning, bids and offers preparations and M&P Project coordination.

• Main Tasks & Responsibilities.

• Industrial Qualification of processes. Definition, coordination and execution of qualification Plans. Spreading out and implementing process qualification requirements for Airbus DS.

• Perform technical assessments of capabilities and risks from the special processes/manufacturing processes point of view. Evaluate compliance against the requirements. Technical Audits.

• Carry out analysis of deviations and anomalies of special processes/manufacturing processes and materials.

• Definition and edevelopment of procedures and specifications.

• Representing M&P-PE department in MFTs and Task Groups for the Projects assigned.

• Data and trends analysis.

• Project Management (focused in industrial implementation mainly)

• Project Management (focused in industrial implementation mainly)

• Workload planning, accounting, bids, offers and quotations preparation and management.

• Required background.

• Master's Sciences Degree or Engineering.

• Experience in management of Projects, KPis, and data analysis. Experience in Special Processes/M&P, particularly as, chemical processes, surface and protection processes, heat treatment, welding, testing of materials, sealants, coatings, paints and Processes Control.

• Experience in Analytical laboratory tecniques.

• Knowledge and experience of methodologies for processes qualification,

• Experience in manufacturing shopfloor enviroments. You know the manufacturing engineering concepts.

• Experience in impact analysis, leading problem-solving activities and risk analysis.

• Experience as auditor and audits or reviews at supplier level.

• Experience in Non conformities resolution and root cause analysis.

• Knowledge and experience on EN9100, Nadcap Program, Quality and Regulations.

• Basic Skills.

• High flexibility, interpersonal skills, ability to find solutions in a context of high pressure.

• A good level of English and Spanish is required for this position. Other languages are also appreciated.

• Availability for very frequent travelling is required (including out of Europe. Long stancies may be required).
