We're looking for a IaaS/PaaS/SaaS Engineer for Air Power Engineering to help lead the digital evolution of our department. You'll be at the heart of our mission to develop the Engineering services and products of tomorrow.

Your Mission

As a System Administrator and Specialist in Virtualised IT infrastructure for Engineering, you will play a key role in the design, deployment, configuration, integration, optimisation and delivery to our internal customers of the engineering value chain. Starting from users’ requirements to the final delivery, your IT expertise will be crucial to rely on software development tools (CI/CD, VCS, Binary Repositories, Docker Registries, K8S, HDFS …) and on the system engineering tools (MBSE, system requirements).

You will be responsible for:

• Servers Deployment: Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines that are fast, reliable, and secure for multi-platform environments (tools, embedded systems,etc…).
• Toolchain Integration: Select, integrate, and manage the entire DevOps toolchain (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jira, Sonar Qube, Artifactory) to ensure seamless flow from commit to production.
• Ensure seamless integration between development/project management tools and systems engineering tools for programmes supported by Airbus Defence and Space, S. A. U.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts and tools (Python, Perl, AWK, Shell, etc.) to automate repetitive tasks, testing, and deployments.
• Standardizing processes and documenting specific hardware/software/service/product knowledge.
• Contributing to the TADXD3 department strategy and defining guidelines.

The Team

You'll be part of a team of 8 IT specialists. Our team is dedicated to simplifying, improving, and empowering the business through virtualization technologies for HPC and transversal services for Engineering. We work with a wide variety of disciplines, including Airframe, Communications Systems, Synthetic Training Aids and Simulators, Aircraft Performance, and so on.

You'll work in a fast-paced agile environment, collaborating closely with both internal teams and external partners.

Your Skills

We're looking for an eager to learn, motivated and rigorous team player who can anticipate needs and find creative solutions for our Internal Customer

Required skills include:

• An engineering or master's degree in STEM majors
• Project Management/ALM: Solid experience with ALM applications (Atlassian Jira, Dimensions CM,…)
• Operating Systems: GNU/Linux, SunOS/Solaris/HP-UX. OpenVMS will be a significant plus
• Hypervisors: at least one of the following QEMU/KVM, Ovirt, Virtual Box, Proxmox VE, Vm Ware v Sphere
• Containers: Experience on handling Docker/podman containers
• Networking: Ethernet communications, switching, Routing protocols, NAT, SDN
• Systems Engineering (MBSE): Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and ideally experience with a modeling tool (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody, , Simulink).
• Programming Languages: C, C++, Ada
• Scripting: Proficiency in at least two scripting languages: Perl, Python, Tcl, AWK, …
• Version Control: Expertise with CVS, SVN and Git
• A sensitivity to client operational needs with an interest in problem-solving.
• A good team spirit with strong interpersonal skills.
• Advanced English is required, other languages like French or German are a plus.
