Job Description:
MISSION:
The jobholder will take over the Functional and System Design Responsibilities for Military System/Subsystem.
The mission will consist of system engineering activities and helicopter level integration of the System under its responsibility, interfacing with many contributor systems for civil and military helicopters. Within the team, the jobholder will act as a technical reference for the functionalities of the System.
TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The jobholder will be responsible for Mission systems design, development, equipment supplier management, integration, and subsystem requirement management up to the Qualification and Certification steps to provide compliance with customer requests.

Acting as the technical reference for Military Systems under its responsibility, how to get the data, process it, present it and use it in the way that the customer needs it.

Acting as functional and system design responsible for the System, interfacing with other systems in the platform over multiple helicopter platforms, being in charge of the following tasks (for the System under its responsibility):
o End to End Functional chain definition
o Requirements engineering
o Interfacing with project management, quality and procurement departments and other project stakeholders throughout the organization
o Interfacing with / management of suppliers and customers
o Application of agile development methodology
o Ensuring planning at equipment supplier and helicopter level for development and qualification
o Participating in offer management and contributing to product sourcing policy
o Assessing suppliers offers with other stakeholders
o Proactively controlling and monitoring suppliers during the development phase, with the aim of safeguarding technical requirement
o Gathering and sharing knowledge of the Systems market solutions (current and future)
o Ensuring the qualification / certification of equipment and the according functions
o Prepare and ensure the functional integration of the system into the helicopter avionic architecture and supporting the H/C Software development activities associated to the system.
o Supporting the integration rigs, ground and flight testing of the equipment
o Supporting knowledge exchange within Airbus (all divisions)
o Participate in the Design, refinement and improvement of new projects SW Development Environments
This role may involve some travel for business to Germany (occasionally) and France (mainly); as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Academic studies in the field of Aerospace Engineering, Informatic, Electrical Engineering or similar
Experience in the design, development, engineering and/or integration of systems for aircraft
Previous experience in Mission Systems:
Experience in Supplier Management:
Team Spirit, good communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.
