Job Description:

TITLE – Avionics Lead Engineer (Engineer 3)

A. Main responsibilities
The jobholder will be responsible for design & development, verification & validation of
Safety critical Real time Embedded software for avionics application conforming to DO
178 B/C standard for Avionics Airbus Helicopters.
B. Main activities
The jobholder will be responsible for Software development activities:  Design and implementation of Software Modules.  Spearhead the requirement engineering activity (gather system requirements,

analyse and document software requirements)  Design and implementation of Software Configuration.  Coordinate with stakeholders in resolving technical issues

• Troubleshooting is-
  sues reported by System testing & Simulator testing, Flight Test, In-service

Issues.  Unit level verification of software modules  Integration testing (software – software & software – Hardware)  Lead and mentor a team for design/dev/ testing/Interface activities
C. Skills
Experience in full software lifecycle encompassing Software requirements Definition,
Dynamic & Static Design, Coding and verification activities in industrialised domains.
‘Must have’ skills:

• Hands on experience on

o Embedded software requirements engineering and Architecture (Static
and Dynamic)
o Design and development (module level design, interfaces, algorithm)
o Embedded Programming
o Unit and integration testing (host & target environment)
o Software configuration management

• Knowledge about standards (requirements / design / coding) - Basic understanding about RTOS - Strong inter personnel skills
• Quick learner
• Work experience on DO 178 standard
  ‘Good to have’ skills:
• Exposure to Certification Audits
• Project Management skills
• Exposure to industry standard Communication Protocols(A429/RS422)
