Lab Test Means Engineer (f/m)

About the Role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Lab Test Means Engineer (f/m) to join our Avionics Software Team based in Toulouse, France. You will join the "Avionics Software" department, within the "Avionics and Simulation products" engineering domain. This organization is an in-house avionics equipment and simulators supplier. Engineers in this domain are responsible for the design, the development, the production and the support of critical embedded products (e.g. Flight Controls, Flight Warning, Communication, Maintenance equipment) for all Airbus aircrafts. This organization is also a Chamber of Reference on Software and Electronics thanks to accomplished and experienced teams.

Your Challenges

Test means development:

• Specify and define architecture of test means products (Test-rigs, Inputs/Outputs modules, Emulators & Analyzer, Systems simulations, Automatic testing framework, Tool abstraction libraries, communication protocols) according to Building Blocks & Product Line approaches
• Participate in tests means development and ensures virtuous project collaboration with suppliers
• Plan & conduct acceptance test means procedures and delivery to operational teams
• Ensure the "Entry Into Service" of test means

Support & MCO:

• Ensure and provide proactive support to users all along the test means lifecycle
• Participate in administration of assets in the software integration laboratory (test means version upgrades, roadmap to OS migrations, licenses installation, cyber-security analysis, firewall configurations, safety procedure, environment …)

Transverses & improvement activities:

• Capture lessons learnt & recommendations
• Propose initiative to improve user experience and efficiency of software verifications activities
• Implement valuable evolution of our test means Product Lines by introducing disruptive, emergent technologies and common standard (ED-247, FMI, VISA)
• Participate in Risks & Opportunities management

• Programming languages: C, python, ASM
• Analogue & digital signals
• Data bus: Eth, AFDX, ARINC 429, CAN, MIL-STD-1553
• Protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, TFTP, A615A-Dataloading
• Operating Systems administration: LINUX & Windows
• Support and collaboration mindset (customers and suppliers)
• Open mindset and good team working
• Embedded V cycle development process
• Advanced level of English and French
