Job Description:
At Airbus, we are pioneering the future of aerospace by building highly efficient and sustainable production systems. With a global workforce of 11,000 experts, we fuse technological leadership with industrial precision to redefine aircraft manufacturing. By harmonizing our digital and physical operations, we are laying the strategic groundwork for the next generation of aircraft.
The ARP Program (A irbus Resource Planning) is the cornerstone of Airbus's digital transformation, aiming to harmonize and optimize industrial processes across all global sites. This initiative sets new industry standards, enhancing operational efficiency and enabling production ramp-up by reimagining aerospace manufacturing and E2E flows through SAP. In order to support the ARP Programme, we are looking for a Solution Manager (d/f/m) dedicated to the German perimeter. As a bridge-builder between the digital and physical worlds, you will act as the vital translator between Business Operations, Functional and technical teams. You aren't just an engineer; you are a strategic leader who connects the dots between ERP logics and real-world aircraft production.
Your Location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.
Your Benefits
-
Attractive salary and special payments
-
30 days paid vacation and extra days-off for special occasions
-
Excellent upskilling opportunities and great international, group-wide development prospects
-
Special benefits: employer-funded pension, employee stock options, discounted car leasing, special conditions for insurances, transportation subsidy, employee benefits at cooperating companies
-
On-site facilities: Kindergarten close to the site, medical officer for check-ups and other health-related services, canteen and cafeteria
-
Compatibility of family & work (job sharing, part-time models, flexible working hours, individual timeout)
-
Working in a diverse environment, with more than 140 nationalities, where every voice is heard
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
-
Strategic Translation: Orchestrate in-depth workshops to translate operational shop-floor needs into end-to-end (E2E) Supply Chain and Demand processes.
-
Technical Architecture: Lead pioneering projects that integrate emerging technologies with existing SAP solutions, ensuring they align with global industrial strategies.
-
Executive Communication: Distill highly technical SAP developments into clear visualizations and documentation to drive buy-in from top-level stakeholders.
-
Agile Leadership: Collaborate within SAFe Multi-Functional Teams to deliver seamless industrial solutions, providing strong orientation and leadership to the wider community.
-
Operational Excellence: Drive the reimagining of E2E flows to enhance production ramp-up and operational efficiency.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for a rare blend of deep technical mastery and high-level business acumen:
-
Educational Foundation: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or Logistics.
-
Industry Veteran: At least 15 years of experience in complex industries like Aerospace, Automotive, or Defense.
-
ERP Guru: 10 years of technical expertise in ERP deployment, with advanced knowledge of modules like MM, PP, SD, and EWM for SAP.
-
The Connector Mindset: Proven ability to navigate SAFe/Agile methodologies while managing complex Change Management initiatives.
-
Leadership & Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to influence both developers and business managers.
-
Global Mobility: Fluency in English (German is a real plus) and a willingness to travel approximately 20% to stay connected with our global sites.
