Job Description:

Airbus R&T in the wing perimeter has focused a lot in the past years on the structural and industrial aspects, resulting in the Wing of Tomorrow concepts and ground prototypes.

e Xtra performance WING, an Airbus Up Next demonstrator, is using disruptive wing technologies focusing on wing performance and need acceleration or feasibility demonstration. Our purpose is to fly a remote controlled business jet, flying subsonic, at classical Airbus aircraft altitudes, with a scaled wing heavily instrumented.

The opportunity of an Flight Control System Test Engineer (m/f) has risen within the team e Xtra performance WING. It consists of a coontract for an estimated 9 months, based in Toulouse (Saint Martin) with occasional travel to Cazaux where the A/C is based.

Missions

You will work within the Overall Systems Design team, for the flight control system testing perimeter, mainly on the Hardware in the Loop System (HILS) Test Bench.

Your responsibilities within this perimeter will be:

  • Prepare test procedures for the Flight Control system (ATA27) perimeter

  • Perform tests on the HILS

  • Deliver the test results analysis

  • Provide V&V documentation linked to HILS tests

The tasks may evolve during the course of the project, so being flexible is important.

Your Boarding Pass:

You will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills and competencies:

  • Aeronautical engineer by graduate schools or universities

  • Significant experience in Systems V&V and testing

  • Good knowledge of ATA27 - Flight Control Systems

  • Good knowledge of Airbus Test Environment (Integration simulator) is very good asset

  • Able to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working

  • Autonomy, Adaptability, Availability, Accountability

  • You are a hands-on person, solution oriented and communicative

  • Enjoying working in an international, diverse and geographically located team

  • Sharing the values of transparency, courage, humility, empathy

  • Eager to step out of the comfort zone

  • English is mandatory

  • Willing to have fun
