Job Description:
The job holder will work as Project Manager within the Manufacturing Innovation team in Tianjin as part of Airbus China R&D Centre. It’s the job holder’s responsibility to successfully create, coordinate and execute manufacturing innovation projects in cooperation with internal and external partners. It includes delivering products, services, and solutions in line with the respective project charter, monitoring and controlling project performance along agreed KPIs and related targets, and applying the project management knowledge areas.
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Provide advanced manufacturing solutions to internal customers, focusing on the application of new technologies in company digital transformation and follow Airbus China R&D Centre roadmap
- Identify digital transformation opportunities, clarify requirements, engage in technical discussions, identify suitable suppliers, and ultimately develop feasible R&D projects.
- Project owner, responsible for delivery of project on time, cost, quality. Manage allocated resources to successfully deliver projects
- Manage project delivery, especially clarifying the application scenarios and value of the company's advanced manufacturing technology. Lead projects throughout all project milestones including successful PoC, industrial maturity and support operational leaders until full industrial implementation. Facilitate project closure through continuous communication with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal functional teams to ensure timely resolution of internal customer issues.
- Assist to guide the projects towards industrialization or use the project to enhance further or future Airbus’ standard from local to global. Ensures compliance to all clients requirements and provides appropriate training to clients and ensure efficient implementation of all systems
- Manage, coach and guide suppliers and visitors on site according to security & EHS rules
- Maintain project plans and manage to proactively resolve issues within required timeframe and recommend appropriate changes to all company policies and procedures and evaluate implementation for team
- Collaborate with stakeholders for all implementation processes
- This role will involve some travel for business in China/Europe.
QUALIFICATION
EDUCATION: Aerospace manufacturing, Industrial engineering, Automation, and advanced manufacturing related major is preferred, Minimum Bachelor degree in engineering
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 3 years of experience in enterprise digital transformation, advanced manufacturing technology application, or industrial vision project implementation, with experience in at least two digitalization and advanced manufacturing implementation projects
- In-depth understanding of the business processes and information/digital systems of at least one manufacturing industry, not limited to aerospace, consumer electronics, automotive, oil and gas, mining, or healthcare, and familiarity with the needs and implementation of advanced manufacturing technology in that industry
- Familiarity with industrial automation, advanced manufacturing, knowledge of AI technology and deep learning
- Experience in aircraft product design and manufacturing, and automation product development background will be given priority. Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
LANGUAGE: fluent English both in written and oral speaking
KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS: Project management, Strong skills in communication and presentation, Planning and forecasting, risk management, budgeting, tracking & monitoring, subject matter expertise, PM methodologies. Those with PMP or PM related certificates/experience will be given priority.
ABILITIES: Autonomy in working, pro-active attitude and have an ownership in project delivery, good analytical skills, structured way of thinking, open minded, comfortable with a diverse working environment.
