Airbus Up Next Spain has the ambition to deliver a disruptive and innovative project to contribute to the evaluation of an innovative more electric architecture for aircraft non propulsive energy (NPE).
The Test engineer position is within the Airbus Up Next subsidiary in Spain, is based in Getafe with travels to Valencia.
It consists of a limited contract stating ASAP till the end of the demonstrator (estimated end of December 2027 deadline of the demonstrator).
Your Missions:
The demonstrator will integrate complex systems including energy storage, electrical power generation, electrical distribution and conversion, fuel storage and distribution, pneumatic systems, thermal systems and control and monitoring systems within a ground test facility. Those systems will include novel technologies for aviation, and will be integrated in a new system architecture with new operational constraints.
As Test Engineer for the NPE demonstrator, you will drive one of the most innovative electric hybrid systems for aeronautics.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

Define test procedures to be executed on the test bench based on Laboratory Test Requirements (LTRs).

Assure the test means and tools necessary to execute the test.

Implement state of the art test analysis metadata tools.

Participate in the commissioning phase of a multisystem test bench, assuring the correct installation and functioning of the bench and system under tests.

Identify new needs of the test bench facility, in an agile and easy way.

Be part of the team who will execute the test in a safety environment.

Responsible for the data exploitation and preliminar analysis of the tests.

Assure the continuous learning and propose modification to the design and test requests.

Develop V&V matrix to include the test procedures and results traced to the LTR Test Cases.

Support the above activities in both an external facility (travel required within Spain) and internal (Airbus Getafe site)
Your Boarding Pass:
What you bring

5+ years of expertise in testing and/or V&V activities within the aerospace industry or other similar industries.

Degree of Engineering or similar qualification.
-
Extensive knowledge of instrumentation , data acquisition, sensor measurement, and test bench development, including e.g. test tools.

Strong skills with LabVIEW/VERISTAND SW programming / mining and data exploitation
-
High knowledge about Electrical systems and its associated risks.

Extensive knowledge in mechanical and electrical design.

Capable of challenging the status quo and usual ways of working to deliver results on time.

Negotiation level in English is required.
