As part of the Community Blueprint team, your role will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making, connecting data across product & operations, and enhancing the guest and host experience and representing the objective voice of the customer. Operating at the intersection of community impact and business performance, this role requires a deep understanding of the end-to-end customer journey, exceptional analytical rigor, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business strategies. In this pivotal role, you will own and evolve the analytical framework that shapes the Community Blueprint team’s investment strategy, driving programs that deliver measurable impact in revenue growth, customer retention, and brand equity.
A Typical Day:

Synthesizes complex data and strategic insights into compelling narratives that inspire action, leveraging strong storytelling skills to translate analytical findings into clear, persuasive recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Empowers direct reports to adopt a narrative-driven approach, ensuring insights are not just understood, but drive meaningful business decisions.

Translate the Community Blueprint's strategic impact into concrete business metrics like revenue generation, customer retention, and brand strength, providing leadership with a clear, defensible view of the program's ROI.

Shape the Community Blueprint portfolio like a product portfolio—balancing risk, market reach, and expected return.

Drive prioritization exercises, clearly articulating where the team should invest resources, what programs should be stopped or scaled back, and how to accurately size the potential business upside of key initiatives.

Serve as the guardian of customer reality within the team, keeping stakeholders honest about "for whom" we are building and "at what moment," ensuring programs genuinely match customer reality instead of internal assumptions.

Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, leveraging exceptional executive communication skills and presence to distill complex concepts into compelling narratives that influence decision-making, align stakeholders, and drive organizational vision forward.

Your Expertise:

An undergraduate degree with a strong preference for candidates holding an MBA or equivalent advanced degree, with 13+ years of industry experience in a consulting, investment banking, strategy or business analytics manager, marketplace dynamics, customer insights or related commercial role.

7+ years people management experience - experience leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end business case development, including comprehensive data gathering, building and presenting compelling recommendations, and securing stakeholder alignment and next steps.

Demonstrated commercial-mindedness and strong business acumen, with the ability to connect analytical findings directly to financial and operational outcomes.

Understands how to analyze the complexities of marketplace dynamics.

Proven expertise in analyzing end-to-end customer or user journeys.

Expert-level proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

Advanced skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Superset, Tableau) and data analysis using Python/R.

Familiarity with leveraging large language model (LLM) tools for research, pattern identification, or synthesis.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, specifically in articulating complex strategic trade-offs to executive audiences.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
Pay Range**$188,000 —$235,000 USD**
