Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition.
For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
Head of Reporting
The Head of Reporting is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all financial, regulatory, and sustainability reporting functions at Adyen. The role will directly manage two team leads across diverse reporting domains:
-
Financial & ESG Reporting
-
Financial (Prudential) Regulatory Reporting
-
Non-Financial (Statistical) Regulatory Reporting
We are looking for a strategic and operationally strong leader, with a mandate to transform Adyen’s Regulatory Reporting function. Together with the Team Lead Regulatory Reporting, you will lead the transition from manual, fragmented workflows to a scalable, automated Reporting model. You will build bridges between Finance, Compliance, and Data Engineering, ensuring that our reporting is not only accurate and compliant but also "proactive, effortless, transparent, and available at the push of a button".
The Head of Reporting will report directly to the SVP of Group Finance, and the teams are fully based in Amsterdam. You will lead and manage discussions with external regulatory bodies and auditors globally, as well as various internal stakeholders such as our CFO, Treasury, Risk and Compliance and our Product and Engineering teams. Being part of our organization will provide you with opportunities to lead and shape critical projects to support our global ambition to become one of the largest financial technology platforms in the world.
What you'll do
-
Lead and scale: You will manage and mentor the two Reporting Teams in line with Adyen’s leadership expectations. You will unify the methodology across Financial, Prudential, and Statistical reporting streams.
-
Drive transformation: Responsibility for the Reporting Function’s strategy around process scalability, including strengthening relationships across group Finance, with Second Line (Compliance, Regulatory & Risk) as well as Product and Engineering teams in this respect.
-
Own the global reporting requirement overview, communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely implementation and delivery.
-
Play an active role in strategic decisions in building out our financial technology platform, being part of the design and build of new financial products by raising relevant requirements.
Who you are
-
Experienced leader: Minimum of 12 years of experience in financial or regulatory reporting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
-
Transformation mindset: You have a proven track record of implementing Technical solutions for financial and regulatory reporting use cases or leading related automation projects. You are comfortable challenging the status quo, leading with a proactive/hands-on approach, and collaborating across various domains (Product and Engineering) in building scalable solutions for the Reporting domain.
-
Expertise in regulatory reporting and Financial/ ESG requirements in the EU, particularly in financial institutions, payment services, or fintech.
-
Strong people leadership skills to build and lead high-performance teams in an international setup; it is expected that you will coach and develop others in the team.
-
You can manage requirements across multiple jurisdictions (APAC, EMEA, LATAM, NA) and navigate the complexity of global versus local reporting needs. You understand the weight of regulatory compliance and have experience building control frameworks that guarantee accuracy while supporting our rapidly growing business.
Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments
Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds and cultures is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. No matter who you are or where you’re from, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen.
