Product and Regulatory Compliance, Team Lead
Adyen is seeking a seasoned professional within the payments, financial services or fintech industry to lead and scale our Regulatory team in APAC. You will lead a team of professionals who are supporting Adyen to create unique business opportunities while making ethical choices.

What you'll do:
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll tackle fascinating challenges at the intersection of technology, finance and law. You’ll be the go-to lead for the teams dreaming up and building our next generation of products in APAC. You’ll also work closely with our second line teams to ensure that our regulatory compliance and integrity risk reporting obligations are maintained for the region.

**Lead,**mentor and manage a diverse team of professionals within the team, and within projects.

Provide strategic advice and be embedded within the partnerships and product teams. You'll be there from the earliest whiteboard sessions to the final launch decisions, helping shape the product's direction, not just its terms.

Dive deep into the most interesting legal puzzles in fintech. You'll master the intricacies of financial regulations and translate them into product features that are both innovative and compliant. This isn't about saying 'no'; it's about finding the creative 'how'.

Become a trusted partner to a diverse group of experts, from product managers and engineers to designers and data scientists. You'll be the legal voice in product stand-ups, strategy meetings, and design reviews, ensuring that we build responsibly without sacrificing speed.

Be our eyes and ears on the future of financial regulation in the APAC. You'll anticipate upcoming regulatory shifts, understand their impact on our roadmap, and proactively develop strategies to keep Adyen at the forefront of the industry.

Represent the Regulatory function on a variety of workstreams and products to establish regulatory strategies that align with global objectives and ensure controlled and compliant growth.
Who you are:

You have 12+ years’ experience in a regulatory and/or legal function focused on payments, financial services and/or fintech industry;

You have strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

You genuinely love technology and can get up to speed quickly on complex products

You have working knowledge of the payment industry, retail banking, acquiring and finance

You will be a critical thinker, strategic and have innovative problem-solving skills

Your strong sense of initiative, independence and ability to take ownership enabling you to contribute to a fast-growing business
