This is Adyen
Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition.
For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
The Role
As a Senior Product Manager for the Uplift - Authenticate, you will be the architect of how millions of people prove who they are when they pay.
Authentication is the highest-stakes moment in the payment journey. Done poorly, it’s a conversion killer; done well, it’s a "Secured" revenue engine. You will lead the evolution of Adyen’s authentication stack from a card-centric 3DS tool into a ubiquitous, AI-powered Identity Orchestrator.
You aren't just implementing protocols; you are defining how Adyen plays its game in the digital authentication space, navigating the "black box" of global issuer behavior, and defining the next generation of frictionless commerce (Passkeys and beyond).
What you’ll do
-
Strategy & Vision: Own the roadmap for the Adyen Uplift’s Authentication Engine. You’ll move us beyond 3D-Secure dominance and lead our expansion into a "Single-Integration" suite for different authentication methods.
-
AI-Driven Optimization: Partner with our Uplift ML teams to ensure authentication is done when it adds performance and delivers a balance between security and conversion, skipping redundant steps, and maximizing completion rates.
-
Launch Next-Gen Methods: Further scale authentication mechanisms from pilot to global scale, ensuring Adyen stays ahead of the structural shift toward wallet-centric authentication.
-
Regulatory & Scheme Leadership: Navigate the complexity of PSD3 and RBI (India) while influencing the global card networks and design how "Secured vs. Unsecured" experiences deliver high-performance for our merchants.
-
Further develop "Authen-as-a-Service": Explore and execute the vision for horizontal authentication that works across any payment rail, not just cards.
Who you are
-
Product Craft: 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with a strong track record of owning full product lifecycle for complex products as well as leading cross-functional teams and delivering impactful results, preferably in a global environment.
-
Strategic Agility: You can navigate "dilemmas", making hard trade-offs between scheme-mandated features and internal high-ROI optimizations.
-
Payments & Identity Architect: You don't just know payments; you understand the invisible infrastructure that secures them. You possess a deep technical grasp of EMV standards** (3D-Secure, SRC, Tokenization)**and Identity/Biometric standards (FIDO2, Web Authn, and SPC Passkeys). You can bridge the gap between legacy card protocols and modern, on-device authentication.
-
The Regulatory Navigator: You have a battle-tested understanding of the European regulatory landscape, specifically PSD2, PSD3, and PSR. You can translate complex compliance mandates into product requirements that maintain the balance between security and conversion.
-
Data-Obsessed: You live in the metrics. You don't just "ship features"; you measure success through the various performance metrics the product can offer.

Booking, Flexport , Adyen etc - ML/AI Positions - Preparation Advice/Suggestions
Hi Everyone, I’ve been working in a service-based company for the past 9 years. Recently, when I started looking for a switch, I realized that the expectations of product-based companies are quite different from the kind of work I’ve been doing. I’ve already faced a few rejections in coding assessments, mainly around OOP concepts and LeetCode medium–level problems. This made me restart my preparation more seriously and focus on strengthening my fundamentals. If anyone here is currently worki
