Why you should join the Adyen network team

This team is part of our Platform Engineering Solution in Bengaluru. The purpose of Platform Engineering is to enable Adyen engineers to autonomously build and support secure, scalable and reliable applications with high speed and quality through a common technology ecosystem.

As a Senior Network Automation Engineer for the Adyen network team in Bengaluru, you will be responsible for designing, creating and maintaining automations and tooling to help secure, scale and deploy the Adyen network across the world. The ideal candidate should have broad experience with developing applications and APIs, Linux experience, and learn on the fly to diagnose problems and be used to dealing with a 24/7 environment. This role involves developing Python projects that abstract away the details of the network implementation for internal customers, ensuring data validity and consistency. This includes strategic design for scalability, hands-on implementation and integration, performance monitoring, security and troubleshooting.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop applications and APIs to interface with our network equipment

• Integrating our network stack with open source tooling to supply our internal customers with self service options

• Automate the deployment of network devices and servers

• Automate the configuration and inventory management of both our network hardware as well as our network connections

• You will create and maintain tools to monitor network performance and analyze network irregularities to ensure system availability and reliability

• Develop new tools to help manage our remote network infrastructure

Who You Are:

• You must be proficient scripting and programming in Python, with at least 2 years of coding experience

• You must have a strong background in networking, with at least 5 years of network engineering experience

• You have experience with configuration management tool like Ansible, Puppet or GNMI

• Experience with the Django framework is a plus

• You have knowledge of core network routing protocols like BGP, OSPF or ISIS. Knowledge of core system protocols like DNS and DHCP is a plus

• You have a good understanding and experience with Linux based systems and their networking stack

• You are a team-player who is open to feedback. Able to work in a 24/7 environment, make quick informed decisions and handle pressure

• You are able to communicate in effectively in English
