Adyen is seeking an Amsterdam-based Financial Controller with an Indian CA certification to own the end-to-end financial health and regulatory compliance of our Indian business entities.
The Role:
Adyen is looking for a Financial Controller to join our Group Finance team in the "engine room" of our global operations. You won’t just be crunching numbers; you’ll be the financial architect for our rapidly expanding footprint in India and the broader APAC region.
Based in Amsterdam, you will manage the trial balance for complex legal entities, ensuring full alignment between local Indian statutory requirements and Global Group standards.
You will lead key projects to streamline accounting processes and support scalable growth. We are looking for a candidate who combines rigorous attention to detail with a strategic understanding of global finance operations.
What You’ll Do:
-
Own the Ledger: Manage the full general ledger for mid-to-high complexity entities and branches, ensuring the trial balance is bulletproof.
-
The Close: Lead month-end close activities, from fixed assets and accruals to posting journals and performing high-level reconciliations.
-
Navigate Regulation: Partner with our Regulatory and Tax teams to ensure seamless filings and compliance in a high-stakes environment.
-
Audit & Reporting: Drive the preparation of financial statements and act as the primary point of contact for auditors, turning complex queries into clear solutions.
-
Scale the Engine: Support internal control frameworks and look for ways to automate or optimize processes as Adyen grows.
Who You Are:
-
You have at least 5 years of experience in financial control or accounting, ideally paired with a background in audit.
-
You hold an Indian CA certification.
-
You have a sharp eye for detail but can pivot between multiple projects without breaking a sweat.
-
You don't just follow the manual; you question the status quo. You’re proactive, independent, and always thinking two steps ahead to solve for future growth.
-
You are excited to work in a centralized hub where your work in India impacts our global trajectory.

Hi Everyone, I’ve been working in a service-based company for the past 9 years. Recently, when I started looking for a switch, I realized that the expectations of product-based companies are quite different from the kind of work I’ve been doing. I’ve already faced a few rejections in coding assessments, mainly around OOP concepts and LeetCode medium–level problems. This made me restart my preparation more seriously and focus on strengthening my fundamentals. If anyone here is currently worki
