Team Lead
- Onboarding Operations (APAC)
Adyen is seeking a results-driven leader to manage the APAC Onboarding Operations team, based in Singapore. You will guide a team that delivers efficient, compliant, and scalable merchant onboarding across Asia-Pacific, while collaborating with the Global Leadership Team to evolve onboarding standards and performance worldwide.
Your role combines operational delivery with global influence. You will lead onboarding execution across multiple APAC markets, with a strategic focus on Japan and India, two of Adyen’s most important growth regions. You will drive process consistency, regulatory excellence, and global collaboration that supports Adyen’s next phase of expansion.
What you will do

Lead and develop the APAC Onboarding Operations team, ensuring quality, speed, and compliance across all markets.

Drive regional execution in APAC, building scalable, compliant frameworks aligned with Adyen’s global onboarding strategy.

Collaborate with global peers and leadership to shape the future of onboarding operations, sharing regional insights and co-developing global standards.

Lead process transformation and automation projects to improve efficiency and control across regions.

Use operational data to monitor performance, identify patterns, and deliver measurable improvements.

Maintain audit readiness through strong documentation, clear ownership, and consistent application of policies.

Partner with Compliance, Product, and Commercial teams to resolve bottlenecks and balance risk with business impact.

Represent APAC in global leadership discussions, ensuring regional needs are understood and reflected in global decisions.

Develop a high-performing team culture rooted in accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement.

Who you are

Experienced leader with 1-4 years of people management in operations or compliance within financial services or payments.

Skilled at managing regional delivery while collaborating with global peers and leadership.

Deep knowledge of KYC, KYB, and CDD practices, including regulatory requirements across APAC markets.

Proven ability to lead transformation and implement scalable operational improvements.

Analytical and structured, with strong experience using data to guide decisions.

Confident communicator who builds alignment across Compliance, Product, and Commercial teams.

Comfortable representing APAC at a global level, contributing to strategic discussions and process standardization.

Pragmatic, proactive, and outcome-oriented in solving operational challenges.
