Senior Data Analyst

• Operations

Adyen is looking for a Senior Data Analyst in the Operations Analytics team in Amsterdam. The team helps to embed analytics into the decision-making processes of numerous groups within Operations at the most senior level. The Operations department focuses on ensuring that our business runs smoothly and is made up of four domains: Support, Professional Services, Supply Chain, and Merchant Operations. This role will focus on scaling the impact and visibility of department-wide efforts through data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset together with excellent project management skills. Whether you come from the payments space or not, we need you to be an independent and enthusiastic thinker who can facilitate our growth by scaling internal projects and focus on continuous optimization and automation.

What you’ll do

• Identify the necessary data required to address questions, extract the required data, build dashboards and perform analysis on Operations domains

• Work closely with the leaders from the Operations department to support business decisions based on your analyses

• Gain an in-depth understanding of business processes to effectively focus your analysis efforts and solve key business problems, applying conceptual thinking

• Continuous performance optimization: in-depth collaboration with all stakeholders of different processes in order to optimize performance targets

• Storytelling: turn your findings into effective communication and concise and actionable advice by connecting the data to a story

Who you are

• You have at least 7+ years of relevant working experience

• You have the ability to extract meaningful insights from large datasets and turn them into clear recommendations to stakeholders

• You are proficient in writing queries in SQL, experienced with BI tools, and comfortable using Python. Py Spark and data engineering experience is a plus.

• You have a proven track record in project management, you know how to drive business projects in a structured manner, and you are not afraid to ‘build as you go’

• You love to work in an international environment and to build strong relationships with global and multicultural teams

• You can communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken
