This is Adyen
Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition.
For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
Senior Learning Designer – Tech Academy
Tech Academy is Adyen’s strategic talent accelerator, transforming how our global tech organization learns, collaborates, and delivers business impact. By embedding high-velocity enablement and learning into daily workflows, Tech Academy empowers engineers, product managers, and PX professionals to innovate faster, adapt to change, and drive growth for Adyen’s customers worldwide.
As Senior Learning Designer, you operate at the intersection of technical enablement, transformation of our ways of working, and behavioral change. You design actionable learning experiences that are deeply embedded within team workflows, turning learning into a lever for speed, ownership, and measurable business value.
In this role, you will:
-
Work directly with tech teams across levels and functions to build learning experiences that feel natural, useful, and immediately applicable
-
Partner with tech org teams to embed best practices throughout the product and development lifecycle
-
Improve tech onboarding, ways of working, and other employee journey moments focusing on learning and adoption so accountability and ownership become everyday habits
-
Build learning programs, micro-learnings, digital nudges, workflow prompts, and lightweight automations and use AI tools for those
-
Gather regular input from engineers and ICs to surface blockers, cultural pain points, and workflow gaps - and translate these into relevant practical learning solutions
-
Design and run experiments to test new routines, peer accountability mechanisms, or workflow improvements
-
Highlight and broadcast stories where tech teams model strong ownership and drive cultural change
-
Enable teams to run their own peer-led sessions, supported by simple digital tooling and AI integrations
-
Design feedback mechanisms and review shipped content and iterate quickly based on adoption, usage data, and insights
-
Look at success measurement from business impact point of view rather than vanity metrics
-
Showcase and celebrate team-driven improvements, helping teams internalize successful approaches and sustain a culture of product and engineering excellence
We’re looking for someone who has:
-
Experience designing tech enablement, onboarding, or cultural transformation programs, especially that use AI-powered approaches
-
Ability to map learning needs to key lifecycle stages - from ideation through launch and scale - so solutions are timely, relevant, and high-impact
-
Hands-on ability to build workflow-integrated microlearning, digital nudges, bots or anything else that is relevant and fun
-
Skill in applying product thinking to learning - problem identification, rapid prototyping, iteration, and measurement of outcomes
-
Familiarity with metrics and data analytics to assess effectiveness of learning interventions and process improvements across teams
-
Practical experience using AI for knowledge management, analytics, or automated content generation
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across diverse engineering and product teams
-
A talent for storytelling - turning real examples into narratives that inspire mindset and behavior change
-
Ability to lead teams in reflective practice (debriefs, post-mortems), driving continuous learning and process excellence
-
An experimentation mindset, with comfort running fast iterations and interpreting usage signals and analytics
-
The ability to build trust, understand team dynamics, and empower individuals to take ownership of their learning.
