The Opportunity

As a Software Engineer Manager at Adobe in Yerevan, Armenia, you have the opportunity to lead a world-class engineering team in developing groundbreaking software solutions. This role is perfect for an ambitious leader with a passion for technology and a proven track record of success.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of skilled software engineers to ensure flawless execution of projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, build, and deliver software solutions that meet user needs.
• Determine project requirements and develop detailed plans to successfully implement software solutions.
• Coordinate the entire software development lifecycle, from initial planning to final deployment.
• Ensure that all engineering activities adhere strictly to industry standards and guidelines.
• Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes to increase efficiency and quality.
• Offer technical mentorship and support to team members, encouraging a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

What you need to succeed

• Established background in leading software engineers, either through direct management or by driving major technical initiatives in a supervisory or leadership capacity, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated capacity to motivate, steer, and mentor engineers, whether through direct supervision or by spearheading cross-team technical initiatives.
• Track record of scaling systems and processes to support evolving product and organizational needs.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud architectures, and modern development practices.
• Hands-on coding background in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or other modern programming languages.
• Strong understanding of system design, microservices, APIs, and data-driven architectures.
• Ability to balance technical debt, product features, and operational health to deliver sustainable, high-quality solutions.
• Experience driving quality initiatives, including CI/CD, test automation, and defining SLOs/SLIs.
• Passion for data-driven decision-making and crafting products with a customer-first approach.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence multi-functional partners.
• Proficient in English and Armenian; additional languages are welcome.
• Leadership approach centered on mentorship, empowerment, and nurturing technical excellence within the team.
• Comfortable navigating dynamic environments with shifting priorities and complex trade-offs.
• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
