The Opportunity
The vision for our Applied Research team is to transform cutting-edge theoretical concepts, especially in the realm of generative AI, into tangible, innovative applications that solve real-world problems. This team is dedicated to bridging the gap between research and practical implementation, harnessing advancements in machine learning, computer graphics, and AI to deliver state-of-the-art solutions. Our goal is to continually evolve and adapt, ensuring that our applications not only meet current industry standards but also anticipate and craft future trends. By focusing on the practical application of groundbreaking research, our team will play a pivotal role in bringing ground-breaking technologies to the market, enhancing user experiences.
Job Description
We are seeking an Applied Research Specialist with a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Graphic Design, or a related field, and proficiency in areas such as Mathematical Modeling, Computer Graphics, and Machine Learning.
What you'll Do
The Applied Research Team will work at the forefront of applying cutting-edge technologies in practical and user-centric applications. Their primary focus will be on implementing and optimizing generative AI solutions for a range of applications in graphics and design. This includes the development of sophisticated image processing techniques and the enhancement of human-computer interaction interfaces using machine learning algorithms. They will also be deeply involved in programming with languages like C and Python to develop robust, production-level software.
The team will apply machine learning frameworks such as Tensor Flow and Py Torch, not only for model development but also for converting and deploying these models efficiently in production environments. Their work will be vital in transforming theoretical AI advancements into accessible, efficient, and impactful applications, constantly iterating, and improving upon them to meet evolving user needs and industry standards.
Moreover, they will delve into computational geometry to enhance and innovate in 3D modeling and animation, ensuring a strong integration of mathematical modeling within these areas. The overarching goal is to push the boundaries of these technologies, driving forward the capabilities of AI and its application in real-world scenarios.
What you’ll need:
- 2-4 years of strong industry experience.
- A PhD or at least a master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong background in mathematics, particularly in areas relevant to graphics like linear algebra, geometry, and numerical methods.
- Courses or experience in computer graphics, image processing, human-computer interaction, machine learning, or similar areas relevant to Illustrator.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C (for in-product work) or Python (for machine learning model side work) at a production level.
- Experience with shipping products to production.
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI techniques, especially as they apply to graphics and design.
- Experience with Tensor/Py Torch, model conversion, and deploying models to production.
- Publication record in peer-reviewed journals or conferences is preferable, not required.
- Ability to optimize algorithms for performance, especially in the context of real time applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems and innovate new solutions.
