We have a fantastic opportunity for a Web Architect to join our team in Bucharest. We’re redefining how text and images come together. Instead of simply placing words over visuals, we’re creating technology that blends them seamlessly, unlocking possibilities that once required expert skill and hours of effort. You will help shape the future of digital typography. As an architect of web applications for our advanced, AI-powered solutions for stylized text generation, you’ll work at the intersection of design, applied research, and engineering. You’ll partner with teams across Adobe Fonts, Typography Intelligence, and Adobe Express to create scalable, high-performance solutions that enhance typography workflows across Adobe’s creative applications. This is a unique opportunity to see your novel ideas come to life in features that reach millions of creators worldwide.

What you’ll do

• Architectural Design: Develop and design the overall architectural framework for web applications that incorporate AI technology. Define system components, modules, and interfaces to ensure scalability, flexibility, and efficiency.

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams. Collaborate with software engineers, designers, and product managers to establish technical standards, coding conventions, and processes

• Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to find opportunities for enhancing web development processes. Make recommendations on technology stack and guidelines to optimise system performance and maintainability.

• Performance Optimisation: Optimise application performance to ensure smooth and responsive user experiences.

• Documentation and Training: Create and maintain user documentation, including architectural diagrams, guidelines, and best practices.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Web Architect or a Senior Full-Stack Developer.

• Strong knowledge of web development technologies, including TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Web Components.

• Solid understanding of web architecture principles, design patterns, and guidelines related to graphics integration.

• Partner closely with Product Management and Design to understand user needs, influence the product roadmap, and translate requirements into robust technical solutions that delight our customers.

• Contribute to the product strategy by proactively finding opportunities for innovation and making pragmatic decisions that balance technical excellence with user value and speed to market

• An exceptional collaborator and communicator who excels at aligning engineering, creative, and business teams to transform complex ideas into cohesive, successful products

Experience with the following would be a plus

• Backend technologies

• C++, Python, Web Assembly

• AI/ML technologies

• Typography, Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
