The Challenge

Adobe is looking for an exceptional Developer focused on platform engineering, automation, and engineering intelligence to join an engineering productivity team. In this role, you will build and improve systems developed to scale and support engineering workflows. You will also handle telemetry integration, automation, and visibility across client, online, and handheld device platforms.

You will help architect resilient services that integrate CI/CD, automation, developer, and operational signals into scalable systems that deliver reliable and actionable insights. Building software at Adobe’s scale requires platforms that are fast, dependable, secure, and designed to support engineers effectively.

What you’ll do

Develop and maintain scalable backend services and automation frameworks that support Desktop, Web, and Mobile environments.

Design and evolve infrastructure that powers engineering workflows, operational visibility, and system insights.

Build modern web interfaces and dashboards that translate complex telemetry into clear, actionable insights.

Drive end-to-end automation to streamline workflows and provide reliable access to build, quality, system, and engineering health signals.

Partner with product and engineering teams to improve developer experience, engineering confidence, and data-driven decision making.

Apply data analysis and AI or ML techniques to extract insights from engineering telemetry and improve automation.

Evaluate and enforce application, operating system, and security requirements across automation and infrastructure systems.

Maintain version control and infrastructure-as-code practices that ensure reproducibility, scalability, and reliability.

What you need to succeed

Experience defining engineering metrics and building dashboards or reporting systems that surface operational and quality insights.

2–3 years of hands-on experience with languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar backend technologies with strong service development experience.

Experience building modern web applications and visualization layers using contemporary frontend frameworks and web technologies.

Production experience with containerization and orchestration solutions, for example Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience building and operating services including

CI and CD integrations:

Monitoring and alerting platforms such as Splunk, Prometheus, and New Relic

Kubernetes-based deployments

Infrastructure as code and provisioning tools such as Terraform, Salt Stack, or similar

Data ingestion, processing, and analytics pipelines

Experience designing APIs and backend services that consume, transform, and expose engineering workflow data.

Exposure to AI, ML, or intelligent systems used to analyze operational data and generate insights.

Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving problem spaces.

Ability to write and maintain high-quality, well-tested code.

Strong debugging skills across distributed systems and the ability to deliver sustainable architectural solutions.

Experience working with large and globally distributed engineering teams where automation, visibility, and data-driven insights are critical.

Ability to clearly document system architecture, operational workflows, and APIs.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

A practical systems-thinking attitude and comfort operating in complex platform environments.
