Summary:

As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of specialized software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the project s technical direction and serving as the main liaison for all application-related activities. The position demands coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the solutions meet business needs while maintaining high standards of quality and performance. The engineer actively oversees the progress of development tasks and ensures that the applications are tailored to the specific requirements of the organization, fostering collaboration and innovation throughout the process.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead the planning and execution of software development activities to meet project goals.
• Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth project delivery.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Blue Yonder Transportation Management.
• Good To Have Skills: Experience with A&D Aftermarket.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles and application configuration.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues and provide effective solutions.
• Experience in collaborating with diverse teams to deliver integrated software solutions.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and best practices in application engineering.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Blue Yonder Transportation Management.
• This position is based at our Chennai office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
