Summary:

As a DevOps Architect, you will assess, design, and engineer DevOps solutions in complex technology environments. You will design and build DevOps technical solutions for cloud-native, cloud-enabled, and on-prem infrastructure with microservices or traditional application patterns. Your typical day will involve evaluating technology environments, designing DevOps solutions, and implementing technical solutions for infrastructure.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Design and implement DevOps Best practices and solutions for cloud-native and on-prem infrastructure.
• Evaluate technology environments and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable systems on Google Cloud Platform considering optimal performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
• Architect highly available and scalable services leveraging open source technologies.
• Delivering end-to-end framework for automation of deployment, monitoring and infrastructure management in a cloud environment
• Ensure infrastructure scalability, security, and performance through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Setup logging, monitoring and alerting systems for real-time visibility into the health and performance of Services, GKE cluster and applications
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Develop SRE strategies, best practices, and knowledge base

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in DevOps Services, Google Cloud Platform Architecture, Infrastructure As Code (IaC), Containerization.
• Strong experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift)
• Strong experience with Automation tool including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, Ansible
• Experience with implementation of SRE principles
• Deep experience in writing CI/CD for applications and infrastructure (GitLab, Jenkins, Helm etc.)
• Experience using monitoring tools like Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace to evaluate system health, research issues, identify root causes and provide solution options
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby)
• Knowledge on Kafka, Zoo Keeper, Hazelcast, Pub/Sub is nice to have
• Understand static code analysis, unit testing and test-driven development, security testing and automated test frameworks
• Good to have experience in working with web servers (Nginx, IIS)

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps Services
• Should have at least 3 year of experience in Google cloud platform or any other large scale public cloud platform.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
