Summary:

Application tech lead is a senior-level technical role responsible for designing, developing, and leading the customization, extension, and integration of Oracle People Soft application. This role focuses on enhancing standard People Soft functionality to meet specific business requirements, requiring advanced knowledge of People Tools, Fluid UI, and integration technologies. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing business requirements, and developing solutions to meet those requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain People Soft applications using People Tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and develop solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Configure and customize People Soft applications to meet business process and application requirements.
  • Perform unit testing and support system testing to ensure the quality of the developed applications.
  • Able to work on new development, modifications / medium to complex customization Online pages, App Engines, App Packages
  • Able to understand functional design and draft technical design, build technical solutions
  • Able to highlight risks on time if there are any potential delays
  • Able to take accountability of own work and help junior resources
  • Able to lead design, build and configurations
  • Worked on People Soft upgrade, App Designer, People Code, SQR, BI Publisher, App Engine, App Packages, Integration Broker, PS/Query
  • Has experience in directing the technical strategy, planning, and execution of migrating data from legacy systems into People Soft. Oversee ETL processes, data mapping, cleansing, and validation, ensuring data accuracy across Financials modules.
  • Has experience in developing data migration strategy and define field-level mappings between source and target systems. Coordinate in reconciliation, parallel testing, and debugging to ensure data integrity.
  • Has experience in managing technical resources, provide status updates, and liaise between functional teams and stakeholders. Performing code reviews and setting design standards.
  • Has experience in managing end-to-end installation, environment provisioning, database setup and configuration, and migration of People Soft applications and People Tools.
  • Has experience of overseeing the design, development, and implementation of data exchanges between People Soft and external/internal systems, specializing in People Soft Integration Broker, App Engine, and Component Interfaces, and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure secure, efficient data flow.
  • Must have knowledge of configurations / setups of People Soft Financials and General finance fundamental concepts / processes
  • Should have experience of financials modules like BI, AR, CM, KK, AP, Banking, AM, CM, GL

  • Must Have Skills: Strong experience in People Soft People Tools.
  • Good To Have Skills: Experience in People Soft Development.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining People Soft applications.
  • Strong understanding of People Soft architecture and components.
  • Experience in configuring and customizing People Soft applications.
  • Experience in performing unit testing and supporting system testing.
  • Experience in data conversion strategy design, build and execution.
  • Experience in integration design and build.
  • Experience in deployment planning and execution

Additional Information:

  • The candidate should have a minimum of 9 years of experience in People Tools technology People Soft FSCM 9,1 or above.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions using People Soft People Tools.
  • This position is based at our Mumbai office.
