Project Role Description: Analyze, design, code and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. Perform maintenance, enhancements and/or development work.

Summary:

You will design, configure, and enhance SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) processes while using AI assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate requirement analysis, configuration, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting. This role supports efficient maintenance execution, work order management, asset reliability, and operational visibility by integrating pre built AI services, without requiring deep AI model development, RAG frameworks, or agentic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

PM Functional & Technical Delivery:

Configure key PM processes including:

• Maintenance Notifications & Work Orders
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
• Task Lists, Maintenance Plans & Strategies
• Technical Object Management (Equipment, Functional Locations)
• Measurement Points, Counters & Condition-Based Maintenance
• Refurbishment & Spare Parts Integration
  Use AI copilots to accelerate:
• Functional specification writing
• Configuration validation and error detection
• Test case generation for PM scenarios
• Documentation creation (FS, TS, SOPs)
• Support end to end delivery: requirements, design, configuration, SIT/UAT, deployment, and hypercare.
• Integrate PM with MM, QM, FI/CO, Warehouse, and external systems (IoT/MES/Monitoring Platforms).

AI Assisted Productivity:

Apply AI copilots for:

• Maintenance data analysis and summarization
• Identifying patterns in breakdowns, recurring defects, or maintenance delays
• Impact analysis for preventive maintenance or work center updates
• Troubleshooting common PM errors (work order failures, scheduling issues)
  Integrate pre built AI services, such as:
• Predictive maintenance insights from sensor data
• Intelligent classification of maintenance notifications
• Automated summarization of maintenance history for audits
• Smart recommendations for spares, maintenance prioritization, or asset health
• Utilize LLM assisted support to reduce resolution time of issues in plans, task lists, notifications, and orders.
• Governance, Quality & Collaboration
• Ensure maintenance processes adhere to plant safety, audit, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Participate in workshops, walkthrough sessions, RCA meetings, and optimization discussions supported by AI generated insights.
• Collaborate across maintenance, operations, engineering, procurement, warehouse, and integration teams.
• Contribute to reusable templates, test scripts, configuration patterns, and AI enabled best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• SAP PM Expertise
• Hands on configuration experience with maintenance notifications, orders, task lists, measurement documents, and maintenance planning.
• Understanding of PM MM (spares), PM QM (quality), PM PP (production), and PM FI/CO (costing) integrations.
• Familiarity with maintenance execution, priority coding, breakdown analysis, and operational reporting.
• AI Ready Skills
• Experience using AI copilots, automated documentation tools, and AI assisted test accelerators.
• Ability to embed pre built AI capabilities (not custom AI model creation) into maintenance workflows for forecasting, classification, or summarization.
• Understanding of responsible AI usage in operational and safety sensitive environments.
• General Professional Skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills related to maintenance processes.
• Ability to translate operational maintenance requirements into scalable SAP PM configurations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across operational and technical teams.
• Continuous learning mindset and comfort working with AI assisted productivity tools.
• Good to Have
• SAP PM Certification.
• Experience with IoT based maintenance, equipment sensors, or integration with predictive maintenance tools.
• Exposure to EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) or mobile maintenance apps.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Tricentis.
