Roles & Responsibilities:
- Installation and configuration: Set up and configure People Soft environments, including application servers, web servers, and databases (e.g., Oracle). Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases across various environments.
- Maintenance and upgrades: Manage system patches, upgrades, and migrations. Use tools like Change Assistant for PUM upgrades.
- Performance tuning: Monitor system performance and tune web servers, application servers, and databases to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime. Monitor and tune database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize SQL queries and configurations.
- Monitoring and support: Proactively monitor system health, security, and capacity. Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues across the People Soft architecture.
- Data management: Perform regular data refreshes and manage data backup and recovery operations.
- Security: Implement and enforce security policies. Configure security settings and manage user access.
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine administrative tasks, such as backups, patching, and monitoring.
