Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, utilizing modern frameworks and agile practices to create scalable and high-performing solutions that meet specific business needs. You will engage in problem-solving activities, ensuring that the software solutions you develop are efficient and effective, while also participating in code reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes.

Key Responsibilities: SAP S/4HANA Finance
Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Finance modules including:
General Ledger (FI-GL)
Accounts Payable (FI-AP)
Accounts Receivable (FI-AR)
Asset Accounting (FI-AA)

New GL, Universal Journal

Participate in S/4HANA implementations, conversions, and rollouts.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Perform integration testing with MM, SD, and other SAP modules.
Troubleshoot finance and tax-related issues and provide production support.
US Taxation
Configure and manage US tax processes in SAP, including:
Sales & Purchase Tax
Withholding Tax
VAT (where applicable)
Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Integrate SAP with third-party tax engines (e.g., Vertex, One Source)
Support tax reporting, filings, audits, and reconciliations.
Maintain tax codes, tax procedures, and jurisdiction logic in SAP.
Business & Compliance
Work closely with tax, finance, and audit teams to understand requirements.
Prepare functional specifications and support RICEFW objects.
Provide user training and documentation.

Required Skills
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
In-depth knowledge of US taxation (Sales & Use Tax, Withholding Tax).
Experience with SAP Tax Configuration and tax procedures.
Integration experience with One Source/Vertex preferred.
Understanding of Universal Journal and S/4HANA data model.
Functional & Domain Skills
Strong accounting knowledge (US GAAP).
Experience in financial reporting and compliance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Thomson Reuters OneSource Indirect Tax.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
