Job Summary:

The Flexera Specialist is responsible for maintaining Flexera tool and run administrator tasks. He needs to be well conversed with functional as well as admin side of the Flexera tool.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work on installing or configuring a Beacon
2. Verify if a Beacon is connected and active in Flexera – investigate discrepancies. Resolve connectivity issues between Beacon and Flexera Cloud / Application Server
3. Investigate Beacon logs, identify issues and get those fixed
4. Handle Beacon upgrades or migrations (for example, moving from on-prem to AWS)
5. Review policy updates on Beacons and manage those

Manage licenses in Flexera:

1. Be responsible for optimization and maintenance of licenses in Flexera tool
2. Connect Beacon to SQL Server and upload assets – troubleshoot upload issues

Skills:

A good understanding of the ITAM/SAM vocabulary and terms
2+ years of experience in administration of Flexera tool that includes Beacon installation, configuration, connecting testing, policy updates and troubleshooting
Experience with Business Adapter Studio (BAS) for data imports
0.5 years of experience in Flexera functional aspects
Experience working with software contracts, understands licensing terminologies
