Summary:

You will design, configure, and enhance SAP Asset Management solutions while leveraging AI assisted development tools and copilots to accelerate configuration, documentation, analysis, and testing. This role focuses on delivering enterprise grade asset management capabilities, integrating pre built AI services into workflows where beneficial, and improving productivity through AI enabled assistance—not through custom AI model development or agentic system building.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional & Technical Delivery:

• Configure and enhance SAP Asset Management processes including maintenance planning, work order management, notifications, master data, and integration with procurement, inventory, and plant operations.
• Use AI copilots to generate functional specs, validate configuration, create test scenarios, and automate recurring documentation tasks.
• Conduct end to end delivery: requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Integrate SAP Asset Management with related modules (PM, MM, QM, FI/CO) and external systems using standard APIs and integration frameworks.

AI Assisted Productivity:

• Utilize AI assisted tools to speed up:
• Impact analysis
  • Data validation
  • Error diagnosis
  • Test case creation
  • Solution documentation
  • Integrate pre-built AI capabilities (e.g., predictive maintenance signals, smart task classification, anomaly detection) into asset workflows where relevant.
  • Use copilots for configuration reviews and optimization suggestions.
    Governance, Quality & Collaboration
  • Ensure SAP solutions comply with enterprise data quality, audit, and maintenance governance standards.
  • Participate in workshops, solution walkthroughs, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement discussions.
  • Collaborate across engineering, maintenance, procurement, and operations teams to ensure end to end alignment.
  • Contribute to reusable templates, checklists, configuration patterns, and AI enabled best practices for SAP AM delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

SAP Asset Management Expertise:

• Strong hands on experience with SAP Asset Management / Plant Maintenance (PM) including:
• Preventive & corrective maintenance
  • Work order lifecycle
  • Maintenance planning & scheduling
  • Equipment/task list/master data
  • Maintenance notifications and reporting
  • Familiarity with cross module integrations (MM, QM, FI/CO) and maintenance related data structures.

AI Ready Skills:

• Practical experience using AI copilots, LLM based assistants, and automated documentation or testing accelerators.
• Ability to incorporate pre built AI services (predictive insights, anomaly detection, recommendations) into SAP AM processes.
• Understanding of AI tool limitations, responsible AI use, and when to escalate to AI native or data science teams.

General Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills related to asset lifecycles and maintenance workflows.
• Ability to translate maintenance and operations requirements into robust SAP configurations.
• Clear communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Continuous learning mindset with openness to AI enabled productivity improvements.

Good to Have:

• SAP certifications in Asset Management / PM.
• Experience with mobile maintenance applications, IoT data sources, or sensor based integrations.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) for maintenance analytics integrations.
• Familiarity with testing automation tools.

• Act as a connector between maintenance teams, SAP engineering teams, and AI native teams when deeper AI is required.
