DESCRIPTION

Accenture’s Security Practice is one of the fastest growing areas of the business with significant growth plans through additional recruitment and acquisitions. Our Secure AI team supports Clients across multiple sectors to securely enable AI Digital Reinvention and accelerate adoption.

We are seeking an AI Security Engineer to join our Secure AI team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing threat modelling, risk assessments, and the implementation of predefined security controls and guardrails for AI systems. This role requires practical knowledge of AI-specific threats, standards and frameworks such as the NIST AI RMF, and Dev Sec Ops/MLOps integration processes to support developers in embedding security throughout the AI lifecycle.

What will be expected of you?

• Execute routine threat modelling for standard AI systems (e.g. basic LLMs, simple RAG pipelines) using provided templates and checklists.
• Conduct risk assessments for low-to-moderate complexity AI use cases
• Configure, implement, and test predefined security controls and guardrails in AI pipelines and APIs.
• Integrate security checks into existing Dev Sec Ops/MLOps workflows
• Collaborate with developers and data scientists to provide standard security patterns and answer routine integration questions.
• Support security monitoring integration for AI systems
• Support the execution of security testing for AI systems

You will have some or all the following skills and experiences:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCSP, or entry-level AI security credentials
• Familiarity with AI/ML security tools and platforms (e.g., Lang Guard, ProtectAI, or open-source guardrail libraries).
• Proven experience (2-4 years) in security engineering, Dev Sec Ops, or AI/ML operations, with exposure to securing ML pipelines.
• Working knowledge of AI security frameworks and guidance such as NIST AI RMF, OWASP AI Security Project, MITRE ATLAS, and CSA AI Controls.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to follow structured processes independently on routine tasks.
• Comfortable working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and managing multiple routine deliverables.
• Experience in conducting security assessments and audits.
• Experience executing security scans and validations in CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML workloads.
• Knowledge of secure configuration for cloud AI services (e.g. AWS Sage Maker, Azure ML, Vertex AI).
• Understanding of AI-specific threats and mitigations (e.g., adversarial attacks, data poisoning).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash) for guardrail implementation and testing.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow) and their security integration points.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for documenting findings and explaining basics to technical peers.
• Ability to handle routine stakeholder interactions, such as providing security feedback in standups or reviews.
