About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAS & Linux Administrator / Team Lead with strong expertise in Linux system administration and SAS 9/Grid environments. The role involves managing large-scale server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance, and leading end-to-end infrastructure operations including monitoring, automation, patching, and upgrades.

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, administer, and troubleshoot Linux-based server environments across production and non-production systems.

  • Handle server traffic management, performance optimization, and capacity planning to ensure system stability.

  • Perform regular server patching, security updates and version upgrades following organizational standards.

  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions, ensuring proactive identification of system issues.

  • Develop and maintain Shell scripts to automate recurring operational tasks.

  • Work with Ansible for configuration management, provisioning, and automation across environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of applications and services.

  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes, adhering to SLA and compliance requirements.

  • Participate in on-call support rotations and provide timely resolution to critical issues.

  • Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience in Linux Administration (OS concepts, file systems, networking, security, system logs).

  • Hands-on experience with Shell scripting (Bash/KSH).

  • Good knowledge of Ansible (playbooks, roles, automation).

  • Good knowledge on Python.

  • Experience in server patching, OS upgrades, and maintenance activities.

  • Good understanding of infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning.

  • Experience handling high-traffic environments, load balancing principles, disaster recovery activities and system optimization.

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem Management).

Required SAS proficiency is below areas:

  • SAS 9 - Installation and Configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting

  • SAS Grid

  • Installation and Configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting

  • SAS Viya 4 Platform

  • Installation and Configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting

  • SAS on CSP (AWS/Azure/GCP)

  • Latest SAS Administration feature releases

  • Good-to-Have Skills

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for automation.

  • Experience with Dynatrace or similar APM monitoring tools.

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

  • SAS Admin experience (FMS/AML preferred).

  • Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
