The work

In the CFO & Enterprise Value team of Accenture Strategy & Consulting, you will manage a wide variety of projects that are on and related to the agenda of the Chief Financial Officers (CFOs). The Finance Transformation & Enterprise Performance Management team operates at the intersection of Strategy, Process, Data, and Technology. As a Principal Director, you will drive Finance business advisory through end-to-end project delivery, which means that you will be involved in all stages of a project, from strategy to implementation. You play a key role in business development and relationship management with our clients across various industries, focusing on Finance Strategy, Digital Finance Transformation, Enterprise Planning & Analytics, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) amongst others.

In your role, you will lead projects and collaborate with international and diverse teams to build and develop the practice of our team.

  • Processes: You will play a crucial role in improving finance processes within organizations by bringing expertise, best practices, and strategic insights. You will collaborate with CFOs and their teams to perform process assessments and recommend and implement finance industry leading practices to improve their finance operations through (ERP) system optimization, policy & procedure development, operating model re-design and more.
  • Technology: CFO organizations are embracing digitally driven business models, empowering finance functions to excel in the digital world. As a manager, you will lead small finance teams, cooperating with technology experts on the selection, implementation and integration of finance systems and tools, utilizing advanced analytics and cutting-edge technologies like GenAI to enhance efficiency and provide valuable insights.
  • People: connect with C-level client stakeholders and play a critical role in transforming finance operations by prioritizing talent development, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement, and leading organizational change management initiatives. Recognize change management needs within finance teams to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and capabilities to effectively embrace new processes, tools, and technologies.
  • Data: Data plays a crucial role in maximizing efficiency and delivering value. As part of our team, you will utilize financial data to provide key insights and help CFOs become more data-driven, enabling true business partnering in Finance required for sustainable growth and decision-making.

Here’s what you’ll need

  • Master’s (WO) degree in Strategy, Business, Finance, Economics, and related topics.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in project delivery in Finance, either through strategy or management consulting, or finance function industry experience.
  • Extensive experience with the challenges that CFOs face, finance operating models, intelligent finance processes and enabling ERP technologies.
  • Experience with data modelling, analytics and data visualization, artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies
  • Ability to tell stories by delivering compelling presentations and narratives.
  • Experience with establishing connections with finance experts
  • Leadership and communication skills to mentor, challenge, advise, and coach team members and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, demanding and team-oriented environment.
  • Fluency in English, Dutch preferred.
