Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Android Tech Lead to spearhead infotainment application development for automotive platforms. This role involves architecture definition, system design, and hands-on development of Android-based features, with a focus on VHAL integration and user experience. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Android Automotive OS, AOSP customization, and a strong understanding of embedded systems and infotainment technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Architecture & Design: Define system architecture and design for Android-based infotainment applications and frameworks.
2. Development: Lead development of infotainment features using Android Automotive OS, AOSP, and HAL layers.
3. VHAL Integration: Implement and enhance Vehicle HAL functionalities to support in-vehicle features.
4. Customization: Customize Android framework components to meet OEM-specific infotainment requirements.
5. Testing & Debugging: Conduct rigorous testing and debugging to ensure feature stability and performance.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI teams, embedded engineers, and global stakeholders to align on feature delivery.
7. System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve system-level issues across software and hardware interfaces.
8. Innovation: Contribute to the development of AI-enabled infotainment applications and cloud-connected experiences

Professional & Technical Skills:

1. Strong expertise in Android Automotive OS, AOSP, and HAL integration.
2. Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and familiarity with C++ for native components.
3. Experience with Android 14 and VHAL functionalities.
4. Hands-on experience in one or more areas: audio/video frameworks, in-cabin controls, navigation, voice, vehicle data monitoring.
5. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
6. Experience working with infotainment hardware setups and cloud platforms
7. Experience developing Android applications with AI/ML capabilities
8. Exposure to global automotive markets and infotainment regulatory standards.
9. Familiarity with Agile development practices and DevOps pipelines.
10. Lead Android infotainment development, drive innovation, and ensure delivery excellence across infotainment platforms.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 4 years of experience in automotive infotainment domain.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A Bachelors degree in computer science, Electronics or related field is required.
