The Solution Architect is a key member of the delivery team, responsible for interpreting and translating client requirements into a comprehensive and scalable solution. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their business challenges and goals, and then designing an advanced planning solution such as o9 to achieve a business value proposition.
This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain management, o9 solution, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The Solution Architect will have planning domain expertise as they have ownership of their particular area of the overarching functional design.
The Solution Architect plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of innovative, scalable, and value-driven solutions. By combining technical expertise with strong client engagement and storytelling skills, the Solution Architect helps the client navigate their business challenges and achieve their strategic goals through this supply chain planning solution.
Key Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor to the client, providing expert guidance on o9 capabilities and best practices. Conduct workshops, training sessions, and presentations to educate the client on o9 solutions.

Work closely with the client to interpret and translate their requirements into a solution that can be configured from a standard set of offerings. Keep the focus on value and observe their as-is ways of working to identify the pain points that need resolution

Lead design workshops to document design, leveraging Ref Model-driven best practices for design and for non-standard areas, evaluating contextual designing. Map the requirements to the Ref Model and work with the o9 PMM/Product teams to design the new workflows, ensuring the business processes adhere to the o9 functionality.

Design cohesive solutions that are secure, scalable, and reliable, ensuring they meet the client's business needs and objectives. Conduct design by understanding the best practice point-of-view standard industry model, use cases deployed in other customers and lessons from high level design while remaining focused on expedited value delivery.

Oversee the Configuration Lead and Functional Lead/Consultant roles in their completion of detailed design activities.

Collaborate on design reviews and solution audits to ensure best practices are deployed and lessons are shared across all elements of the programme.

Work with the client IT team, o9 DevOps and the Technical Architect to establish the tenant landscape and integration design.

Work with the Configuration Leads to prepare for and support sprint review demonstrations of progressive closure of user stories. Work with Configuration Leads and Functional Leads/Consultants to support the planning and preparation of training for the different user groups for a global user base.

Follow the o9 recommended test strategy across different stages of the programme. Lead the transition to the support teams and create all documentation necessary for a successful transition.

Identify, highlight, and mitigate risks, understanding the financial impact and socializing this with stakeholders.

Follow the approval process and update the Solution Work Bench (SWB) with all compliance parameters, including a weekly status update.

Technical Competencies
- Completion of all mandatory o9 courses associated with the role.
- Understand and be able to explain the data requirement templates for core workflows.
- Understanding of one or more functional supply chain workflows.
- Proficiency in architecting and deploying data engineering workflows utilizing a benchmark data integration product.
- Understanding of o9 IDB industry templates (CP, RDAF, SIM, Telecom)
- Ability to perform holistic design evaluation (implications on performance, usability, scalability, end to end workflow etc.).
- Ability to size the effort (design, build, testing) for project timeline planning.
- Delivery methodology understanding (using Artefact templates, following best practices in each stage of the programme, understanding the support systems, following the recommendations on data and testing principles etc.).
Qualifications:
- Five years' experience in solution architecture, with a focus on supply chain management and advanced planning systems.
- More than two - three years' experience with the o9 platform, including configuration, customisation, and integration.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
