Summary:

As Senior Manager – Skywise Capability Building, you will be responsible for establishing and scaling enterprise-wide Skywise capabilities encompassing people, platforms, and use cases across aerospace and defense programs. The role blends deep Skywise and Palantir expertise with strong aviation domain leadership and capability incubation while driving measurable business outcomes such as improved fleet availability, reduced AOG events, and enhanced MRO efficiency.
You will serve as the organization s primary authority on Skywise, acting as a critical bridge between customers, internal delivery teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, value-driven solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Own and scale an end-to-end Skywise capability across data engineering, analytics, and application development, aligned to ontology-first design principles.
• Define and govern Skywise standards, best practices, and reusable assets to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across programs.
• Lead delivery of Skywise use cases across Aircraft Health Monitoring, Predictive Maintenance, Fleet Performance, MRO, Supply Chain, and Operations analytics.
• Drive integration of aircraft, maintenance, and operational data from AHM, ATA, OEM, and airline IT systems into production-grade Skywise solutions.
• Provide hands-on architectural and technical governance across Skywise and Foundry tools, including pipelines, ontologies, data models, and ML workflows.
• Act as the primary interface with Airbus Skywise and Palantir ecosystem partners for roadmap alignment, enablement, and escalations.
• Translate complex business problems into Skywise-ready analytical use cases and influence senior stakeholders to drive adoption and ROI.
• Build, mentor, and grow cross-functional teams, including hiring and developing certification-ready Skywise and Palantir talent.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• 10+ years total experience, with 5+ years in data platforms, analytics, or digital transformation in aerospace/aviation/defense.
• Direct, hands on experience with Skywise and/or Palantir Foundry is mandatory.
• Proven track record of building and leading technical teams and enterprise capabilities.
• Strong aviation data knowledge: ATA chapters, AHM, maintenance & operations data.
• Proficiency in Python, Py Spark, SQL, and cloud based data platforms.
• Working experience with Power BI / Qlik Sense for downstream analytics and reporting.
• Hands on experience with Skywise applications: Core Platform, Health Monitoring, Ops Insights.
• Exposure to ML/AI for predictive maintenance (scikit learn, Tensor Flow, statistical modeling).
• Strong Agile / Scrum delivery and program management experience.
• Familiarity with FAA, EASA, DGCA / CAR regulatory context.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Aerospace & Defense (A&D).
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
