Summary:

We are seeking a Tester to support the API development workstream. The role requires strong software testing experience, hands-on expertise in REST API testing, and familiarity with Agile SDLC practices. The tester will ensure quality, reliability, and compliance of API-based solutions through structured testing approaches and automation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Define and execute test strategies, test approaches, and test plans for API-based solutions.
• Create and maintain test cases, test data, and execute functional, integration, and system testing.
• Perform thorough testing of REST APIs and validate request/response behavior.
• Validate API integrations and backend workflows supporting the CDP platform.
• Develop and execute automated API test scripts using Jest or similar frameworks.
• Track, document, and manage defects using standard defect management tools.
• Generate testing metrics and reports for management and stakeholder review.
• Work closely with development teams to analyze defects and validate fixes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure adherence to quality, security, and compliance standards.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Strong software testing experience.
• Hands-on experience in API development and testing.
• Expertise in REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus, but not mandatory).
• Experience with Jest for Node.js testing and API test automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Node.js.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Exposure to AWS cloud technologies.
• AI prompting knowledge.
• API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of data technologies such as PostgreSQL and GCP Big Query.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in API Testing.
• The candidate should be willing to work from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST shift.
• We don t have location constraints.
• A 15-year full-time education is required.
