JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assembly Supervisor at Abbott Diagnostics Technologies
Abbott Diagnostics Technologies AS is part of Abbott Diagnostics, a global leader in diagnostic solutions. We bring together expert teams and cutting-edge technologies to support diagnostic testing that provides critical information for disease treatment and management.
We are looking for an Assembly Supervisor to join our Cardiometabolic Unit in Oslo, Norway. In this role, you will manage daily production operations and lead a team of operators to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
What you’ll do
- Oversee daily operations and personnel management within the assembly department.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining compliance with ISO, FDA, GMP, and EHS standards.
- Communicate across departments to plan and optimize workflows.
- Drive cost efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage staff performance, training, and development.
- Participate in shift work and weekend rotations.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field OR vocational education with 3–5 years of experience in automated manufacturing.
- Alternatively, 5+ years of experience in production engineering work.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Approved background check from the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority.
- Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English.
- Leadership, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Experience managing operators and working with automated manufacturing lines.
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, SAP, Agile, Notes.
- Background in quality assurance or production control under GMP/ISO 13485.
We are seeking a structured and proactive leader with strong collaboration skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team. Previous supervisor experience is highly desirable, and an engineering background will be considered a strong advantage. You are quality-focused, solution-oriented, and able to balance attention to detail with a strategic view, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
