JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Transfusion Medicine – EMEA TST Team is looking for an

Automation Application Support Specialist

Reporting to the TM EMEA TST Manager, you will assist the TST team defining & designing product requirements and hands-on delivery installation, complex configuration, integration, customer and internal training mainly focused on GLP track system automation solutions and associated AlinIQ middleware products, both on site and remotely

Key Accountabilities:

• Acquire knowledge and build up experience by hands-on on GLP automation solutions to become and act as the SME for GLP application.
• Provide comprehensive application support to end-users for total automation solution
• Actively assist TST-team during solution design process as SME of GLP functionalities & capabilities to define best possible workflow & achieve TAT objectives
• Explore possible workflow & define possible work around strategies to accommodate customized demands
• Actively manage face to face workshops with potential end-users to explore workflow objectives and gain consensus on final workflow definitions and rules to be implemented
• Take ownership of Automation Workflow Document creation, and keep up to date for each active end-user provided solution
• Research and collect field-intel on competitive automation platforms and their capabilities & functionalities related to workflow processes.
• Actively contributes to pre-implementation project preparation and work closely with project manager during implementation phase.
• Take ownership of configuration of GLP TSM/TWM application for new installations, and for any expansions, additions or changes on current GLP solutions
• Define internal validation protocol to enable solid qualification of workflow processes, and anticipation of possible exceptions/error management.
• Support customer in defining their qualification process of the provided total solution
• Deliver structured GLP TSM/TWM user application training to the end user.
• Revisit GLP automation end users on regular basis to analyze statistics, gather feedback and identify possible areas for improvement as part of ongoing optimization process
• Support acquisition team with preparation of automation end-user data relevant for customer business review meetings
• Support acquisition team with tender cycle process & submission process related to automation solutions.
• Provide feature/ product enhancement input to TM global automation team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in health science, engineering, clinical biology, lab technician…
• Fluent English

Special Skills & Knowledge:

• Sound understanding of diagnostics laboratory workflows and related technologies
• Hands-on experience either as end-user, or as implementation/application specialist of laboratory automation solution
• 1-2 years of relevant experience installing, configuring and/or maintaining diagnostics laboratory
• Able to execute assigned tasks satisfactorily with a high degree of commitment and quality, independently
• Technical proficiency with general business applications such as MS Office, MS Project/ Smartsheet
