Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals in Pakistan is currently looking for a Finance Director Operations to join the business based in Karachi.

Role Purpose:

To support commercial team to achieve sales target. Manage the full financial activities of 2 manufacturing plants . Drive all financial resources and ensure that financial transactions, Systems and Procedures comply with Regulations, Accounting Principles, and Standards. These activities include Financial Analysis & Reporting, Taxation, Insurance, Credit Control, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Inventory & Cost Control, Budgeting and its monitoring.

Major Accountabilities:

• Provide support and leadership to achieve Plan Sales & Division Margin. Manage expenses budget for both the plants including, but not limited to, inventories, Operating Supplies, Maintenance, Payroll, Overtime, etc., in line with Plan/ RLBE in addition to active role of coordinating and aligning with commercial teams through S&OP process.

• Manage Plan, LBE & Update cycle and ensure timely and accurate submission of all schedules. Ensure timely and accurate financial forecasting and reporting to affiliate, as well as to METAP Region and Area (EM)

• Manage P&L and variances vs planned budget and provide solutions to mitigate risks.

• Maintain average inventory as per Plan and work with related stakeholders to ensure efficiencies and optimize costs.

• Ensure that all regulatory reporting are carried out timely and accurately while ensuring compliance to applicable statutory requirements, internal controls and policies at all times.

• Work closely work with the cross functional teams particularly commercial functions to keep abreast with the changing Market dynamics and customer perceptions, and provide solutions to address situations that can be positively impacted through Operational Finance interventions.

• Provides inputs necessary to the operational and commercial leadership that can help make strategic decisions with regard to capital investments on infra-structure, plant and machinery upgrades and related paybacks on these investments.

Knowledge, Experience and Education:

Education:Master's degree

Years of experience, both overall and any industry-specific experience needed: 12 to 15 years of Cost & Financial management Accounting in a multinational environment or a company of national repute. Relevant pharma experience of managing Operations Finance is a plus.

Other qualifications/certifications: Professional Accounting Qualification FCA/FCMA/FCCA Preferred
