JOB DESCRIPTION:Position: Manager Indirect Purchase Reporting to:Senior Manager Local Purchase Division:

Established Pharmaceutical Division:

  • Operation Location:Karachi -Pakistan

Job Summary:

Responsible to assist in procurement of all local goods/services related to EHS and Projects departments at right cost, right quality & right time. Also assist in search of new vendors for the competitive prices and improved quality. Manage all activities pertaining to materials purchasing at Supply Chain as per compliance of SOPs and Purchasing Control standards. Facilitate Quality, financial, internal, external & regulatory audits pertaining to supply chain functions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for procurement of goods/services/equipment related to Engineering, EHS and Projects departments of Landhi & Korangi Sites and supervise all the materials purchasing activities.
  • Arrange the quotations of the goods/services/equipment from appropriate vendors after receiving of duly approved purchase requisitions (PRs).
  • Negotiation with vendors after receiving quotations.
  • Preparation & approval of comparative statement (BID sheet) then select the vendor if required.
  • Preparation of POs through BPCS and intimation to vendors via E-Mail/Phone.
  • Ensure on-time availability of required materials and meet emergencies.
  • Liaison with all concerned departments and vendors to resolve technical matters.
  • Liaison with Finance for adjustment of advances and payments well in time.
  • Following up of deliveries with the vendors and Warehouse for preparation of GRNs and send these GRNs to concern departments for approval.
  • Submit payment related documents to Finance and coordinate for timely payments to vendors.
  • Dispatch of income tax challans / certificates to suppliers.
  • Sectional CAPA Coordinator. Author / Reviewer of SOPs pertaining to Purchase & ensure its compliance.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining all necessary records pertaining to his own area of responsibility as per record retention policy & practice.
  • Any other job assigned by the Seniors / Departmental Head.

Education/Knowledge & Experience:

  • Graduate/Master; preferably in Supply Chain
  • 5-6 years of relevant experience of supply chain function
  • Procurement handling & BPCS System Functions Knowledge
  • Interpersonal Communication
  • Negotiation & decision-making skills
