The Opportunity
This position works out of our Woodridge, MN location in the Structural Heart division.
Structural Heart Business Mission: Why We Exist
Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and leads the implementation and effectiveness of continuous improvement tools and systems in support of site goals and objectives
- Facilitates and coaches cross functional improvement events to deliver positive and measurable results for the business
- Supports the continuous improvement strategy in collaboration with the Continuous Improvement Department. Coordinates with operational leadership to ensure alignment and optimal use of resources related to continuous improvement
- Works with site leaders to develop long term facility plans and capacity models
- Develops and trains continuous improvement methods such as value stream mapping, 5S, line balancing, standard work, and material flow to internal resources within the organization
- Collaborate with management to hire and retain a diverse, highly qualified staff
- Provides input for identification of department goals which align to strategic objectives, and manages the execution of goals through coaching and mentoring
- Maintains a safe and professional work environment
- Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline
- 4+ years experience
- 3-4 years experience with post graduate degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading Continous improvement events
- Experience with problem solving such as A3/DMAIC
- Med Device or regulated industry
- Project management experience
