Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide customs and export control classification for ABB products, purchased third-party products, software, and raw materials. Each day, you will ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and guidelines. You will also showcase your expertise by conducting thorough research and analysis of ABB products to determine the appropriate product classification codes and standards.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid.
You will interact with Trade Compliance Officers, Product Management, R&D, and other relevant functions on trade compliance-related matters, with integrity as a core pillar of our operations.
You will also lead initiatives for continuous improvement projects.
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
You will be accountable for:

Providing Export Control(ECCN/ECN) and Customs (HTS/HS tariff code) classification of products, software, and/or technologies as part of new product introduction cycle.

Managing and updating master data for products, technologies, and software, including product description, and/or supporting customs declarants with product information required for master data management and entries.

Supporting relevant teams regarding product classification-related inquiries or issues.

Reviewing and applying relevant changes in the regulatory framework related to product classification.
Qualifications for the role:

You have good knowledge of automation HW and SW products.

You have good knowledge of customs and export control regulations.

You have good skills in MS Office.

You are passionate about self-accountability, continuous improvement and collaboration.

You are at ease communicating in English.

Availability to work on-site when necessary for product assessments, team collaboration, and training activities is preferred.

Previous experience and background in software (e.g., embedded software, industrial applications, firmware) and/or mechanical engineering are highly preferred.
